"Whether you say you can or you can't you're right." - Scott Gould
All the time clients stand in front of my camera and start by saying how unphotogenic or uncomfortable they are. It's my job to help them relax and have fun BUT why did we get so camera shy in the first place? Is it a long history of working with unskilled photographers? Perhaps the root of the problem is actually a lack of self love? Maybe you just don't know what to say or do and a little direction or planning would make all the difference. Unfortunately, it's completely normal to feel awkward or uncomfortable in front of the camera. It feels intimate, like you're in the spotlight and all eyes are on YOU. But why is that a problem? In this video blog I talk through my philosophy on what makes a person photogenic and confidence in front of the camera and share some tips that I've tested on myself to warm up to the camera and become a 'ham' for the spotlight. haha!
